It is basic knowledge that of all the food and nutrients that we consume that vitamins have by far the greatest impact on the health and appearance of our skins. Generally, good health is reflected in our skin – even conventional Chinese medicines and other more traditional practices judge our health through the appearance of our skin. A healthy skin is therefore reflective of a good diet. This is especially true if you consider that greasy and oily foods tend to aggravate the onset of acne and simple breakouts. The role of vitamins in our diet does not go unnoticed when it relates to our skin’s appearance and likewise its health. Basically, without the essential skin vitamins, the skin tends to take on an appearance of dryness and dullness.

Vitamin A is commonly associated with good skin because of its abilities as a good anti-oxidant. However, Vitamin A itself is the general term given to a group of molecules (alcohols and aldehydes) that can exist in either form under given circumstances. Carotenoids and retinol are other popular names for Vitamin A. It is one form of the carotenoid structure in particular (beta-carotene) that gives the group its anti-oxidant properties. An anti-oxidant is simply a molecule that can remove radical scavengers along the skin’s surface and thus help in the maintenance of youthful vibrant skin. In general, radicals are naturally produced by the body during is metabolism, but these radicals are highly reactive and have the tendency of attacking the skin’s cells – in particular being responsible for early signs of aging and wrinkles. As you could probably guess from the name carotenoid, carrots are among the food types rich in Vitamin A.

Vitamin B (in particular Vitamin B2 or riboflavin) too has the similar function of Vitamin A in terms of healthy skin promotion, only instead of itself being an anti-oxidant it is the catalyst for the reaction which produces anti-oxidants within the body. As a catalyst, its job is the speed up the rate at which the anti-oxidant is produced by creating the ideal conditions for the reaction within the body.

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is also an anti-oxidant, and is in fact one of the better known and better recognized anti-oxidants around today. But fighting off the harmful free-radicals is not the only function of Vitamin C – it is one of the essential components for the production of collagen tissues. Collagen is in fact the stuff that makes up our skin, so collagen regeneration means younger-looking and healthier skins.

Vitamin D is quite unlike all the other vitamins involved in healthy skin appearance, for it is one that is responsible for the healthy tan of the skin. Vitamin D is produced naturally by the skin when exposed to sunlight, and is the reason for the healthy glow observed in the skin after brief exposures to the sun.

Finally, Vitamin E provides the function of an anti-oxidant. It is however one of the most powerful anti-oxidants used by the body in its constant battle against free-radicals.

By: David Yu

Caring for African-American skin does not have to be complicated or costly. With the variety of product information available, its important to do your own independent research before investing in any expensive skin care lines. When choosing African- American products, there are several important considerations for creating and maintaining healthy skin.

For the most part, African-American skin has more similarities than differences to an other type. Because skin is the largest organ in the human body, it needs the essentials, such as fresh food and water, in order to stay healthy. Effective African- American skin care products should have similar formulations as any other quality product.

The main difference with African-American skin is its tendency to hyper-pigmentation. This refers patches of grey or darker discolorations on the surface. Because people of color have a higher amount of melanin in their skin, these melanin protectors can become discolored over time, often because of age, or because of harsh skin care regimens. African-American skin should be treated gently, and any type of treatment, such as peels or acne removal, needs to be used with caution, ideally by a qualified professional who specializes in delicate care.

A skin care routine for African American skin does not have to be elaborate in order to be successful. Dry skin is common for darker skin tones, and there are several successful steps to combating dryness. The first is to drink plenty of water, usually six to eight glasses a day, as this will give the skin a firmer and more youthful appearance. Shorter showers will also help combat dryness. In addition, using a moisturizer is essential in keeping skin soft and supple.

A final consideration when evaluating African-American skin care products is the inclusion of an effective sunscreen. Although there is more melanin to protect itself, skin cancer is still a possibility. Regular use of sunscreen can also help protect against hyper-pigmentation and lead to a more even skin tone. An SPF of at least 30 for the face and body is recommended.

By keeping these essentials in mind, you will be able to make effective decisions about your skin care regimen. African American skin care products are becoming easier to find and evaluate than ever before. These products can often be expensive, and it pays to educate yourself on the type of products that are appropriate for your skin before purchasing.

By: Amy Wells

Aloe Vera skin care which is as integral part of herbal skin care methods, use this juicy plant to help fight skin disorders. What ever be the skin disorders, using Aloe Vera contained products always helps to remove blemishes and marks which becomes very vital. Though you might be cured from it clearing off the marks is very important. This can be easily grown in your kitchen backyard, providing you with all the necessary vitamins for a glowing skin.

Simpler aloe Vera skin care methods are using the natural ingredients available in your kitchen. These include garlic, which is very beneficial for hypertension, various cardiac ailments and very good for your skin. Much simpler natural home skin care methods include drinking a lot of water, which helps to keep you hydrated in order to avoid the hot sun from extracting all the moisture from your skin. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables helps to achieve a healthy skin. It also will give the best results when consumed in the raw form.

Other Aloe Vera skin care methods involve using herbal products that contain them. Organic natural skin care is preferable because the products used here are in their purest form without any deficiency in them. This is because the plants from which these components are extracted are grown in natural means without the usage of pesticides. When components such as grape seed oil or Babbassu oil is used you might winder what difference it makes. The pesticides that are used are not just superficial. This gets absorbed into the fruit and the seeds. These seeds are then utilized to extract oil and other components.

It has been observed in the recent years that men and women are looking for products which can make their skin look good as well as healthy. This is the reason for an increase in demand for the natural herbal skin care products.

By: Jean Helmet

The demand for skin care products of every kind is huge and many companies and big brands specialize in creating skin care products for different parts of the body, the face, hands, feet, eyes, etc. However years ago women were the ones that bought all skin care products, but nowadays men are starting to understand the importance of having a clean, smooth and healthy skin at any time.

The skin of man and women are similar but with subtle differences, for example the skin of a man is more prone to inflammation, redness and roughness. Selecting an effective man facial skin care is very important if you dont want to hurt your skin tissue.

You have to be very careful what kind of creams or products you choose to use, you will notice that there are many products that say that they are organic or natural, but you have to first read the labels and be aware of what chemicals they use in their ingredients.

There are many facial skin care creams that contain fragrances, but this is bad for your skin because fragrances have chemicals that contain toxins and hurt your skin. So you should do your proper research first before committing your self to use a cream in your face for a long time.

The next thing that you should know before choosing a treatment is what kind of facial skin care you need, there are different solutions for particular problems. For example there are after shave creams for dry skin, men gentle cleaners, moisturizing cream for male skin, eye cream and anti aging creams.

One of the most popular options for men facial skin care is anti aging creams that help you maintain your skin smooth, fresh, young, fight toxins, erase wrinkles and stimulate the growth of anti aging substances.

So if you are choosing an anti aging cream for men you should make sure that it helps your body to develop collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Another important element that a facial skin care product should have is anti oxidants to help fight free radicals that hurt your skin tissue.

By: Ray A.

Skin is the human body’s first line of defense, it is the largest single organ in the entire human body. It protects all the important organs inside our body from harmful and abrasive stuffs outside. Therefore, the skin deserves to be taken care of.

When it comes to skin care, there are differences among women, men and children. Even among women, skin care differs at various stages of women’s lives.

There are many things that contribute to the well-being of a woman’s skin. Nutrition and lifestyle can reflect a woman’s appearance on the outside. Good nutrition and healthy lifestyle will produce healthy skin. A good and healthy looking skin on the outside is generally an indication of a woman’s overall well-being.

On the contrary, poor nutrition and unhealthy lifestyle will generally reflect an overall poor health of a woman’s skin. Bad habits such as smoking, excessive alcohol drinking, consuming of high-fat diets, etc. will also deprive the skin of important nutrients it needs.

In general, women don’t shave their mustache, faces and chins. However, they do shave other parts of their bodies such as legs and armpits, including the sensitive parts. If you have a sensitive skin, extra care should be taken to avoid razor rash, burn or other skin irritation.

For both women and men, healthy lifestyle (good nutrition, regular exercise and rest well) lay the foundation for beautiful and healthy skin. Good nutrition will ensure that your skin receive all the nutrients and vitamins that it needs to maintain and repair itself.

Drinking plenty of water is also important to keep your skin healthy. Water helps to hydrate the skin, transport nutrients through and flush toxins out of your body.

Skin care during pregnancy

Hormonal surge during pregnancy and menopause can cause changes in a woman’s skin; pregnancy can also turn normal skin into oily skin. So, you may have to change your skin care products. Use mild cleanser to wash your face daily, also use exfoliator to clean pores deeply and remove dead skin cells (use exfoliator once or twice a week is sufficient). Continue to moisturize skin, especially around your growing tummy, to reduce chances of developing stretch marks.

Check all your existing skin care products to ensure that they are safe to use during pregnancy. Should you have any concerns, seek advice from your physician and only purchase products which are labeled safe to use during pregnancy.

Use foot lotion to massage your feet every night before going to bed (get your loving husband to do this for you). When going outside the house, don’t forget to use sunscreen to protect your skin from damaging UV rays.

By: Mei Susanti

The skin is considered an organ of abolition as it excretes about one quarter of the body’s wastes through perspiration. The rationale behind considering the excretory organs as a whole when addressing skin health is that if one of the organs is overloaded, or not doing its job properly, it throws the whole system of excretion out of balance, placing greater stress on the other eliminatory channels.

Good skin is a likeness of inner health. Diet plays an important role in maintain the health of the skin. It is clear that Vitamin B plays a pivotal role in maintain a healthy skin. So diet that is rich in Vitamin B can go a long way in skin health. Several natural aids have been found helpful in promote healthy and beautiful skin. That’s why we’re putting together a wealth of skin care information to help you find the answers you’re looking for. We’re not done yet but here is a taste of what’s to come.

# Apply sun block with a minimum of SPF15 daily. This will help prevent sunburns and protect skin from premature aging. Be sure to include sun-sensitive areas such as the ears, nose, cheeks, lips, and back of the neck, which are often neglected. Sun block should be used every day not just when out at the beach or by the pool.

# Reapply sun block as directed and remember – even if a sun block is waterproof that does not mean it is wipe proof. If swimming and towel drying you will be wiping off part of the sun block so be sure to apply after drying.

# Protect yourself and family from the sun’s most dangerous rays by planning outdoor activities before 10am and after 2pm. This will ensure that you are missing the sun’s most direct rays, since after 2pm sunlight is received at an angle, not directly above.

# Provide adequate shade when planning a long sun filled day at the park or beach. Bring an umbrella or sun tent to ensure little ones, as well as adults, have a cool place to escape the sunrays.

# Use dark or brightly colored clothing and hats to help prevent sunburn. You can now purchase specially designed UV protective swimsuits and clothing. It is not recommended to use white in the sun.

# Avoid indoor and outdoor tanning; both have been shown to drastically increase the risk of developing skin cancer. Opt for a tinted moisturizer for a light glow or a self-spray tan for full summer color without the danger.

Read more on Shahnaz Husain Beauty and Home Remedies for Acidity

The skin is considered an organ of abolition as it excretes about one quarter of the body’s wastes through perspiration. The rationale behind considering the excretory organs as a whole when addressing skin health is that if one of the organs is overloaded, or not doing its job properly, it throws the whole system of excretion out of balance, placing greater stress on the other eliminatory channels.

Good skin is a likeness of inner health.

Skin is the body’s mirror of our inner health and wellness, both physical and emotional. Prolonged stress and poor diet can affect appearance and accelerate aging of the skin. Simple and generic skin care that may help you improve your skin. Essential fats are thought to keep your heart healthy, fight inflammation, and possibly prevent cancer. They are also particularly important to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne, and also for people with dry skin. Men have approximately 15% oilier skin and significantly larger pores than women do. A good scrub is essential for healthy clean skin. It will remove dead cells and smooth the surface of your face. The scrub should be strong without being damaging. Moisturizing is a necessity. Always use a light moisturizer on your face after cleansing and shaving. Most people lack fiber in their diets – the average person eats only 12 g of fiber a day. Healthy skin is young looking skin. There are preventative techniques that can promote the best skin possible and keep it looking its best longer

All types of skin need to be exfoliated. This is the removal of dead skin cells that form daily. Most people do not realize this but excess sugar is considered one of the main causes of premature aging. The more sugar we eat, the more sugar we have entering our bloodstream. It is available in liquid form, or just break open a capsule and apply the oil directly to the skin. Sunscreen is important in winter as the sun’s reflective powers are great year round – 17% on the sand and 80% on the snow. Apply a heavy layer of moisturizing broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher to the face, hands, and any other skin that may be exposed. Dry skin probably need a heavy, well balanced moisturizer with a very good humenctant. Facial oils are not recommended for dry skin as a moisturizer because they do not contain water in the formulation. Aromatherapy treatments are good for dry skin if they provide moisture and oil as well as the essential oils such as a moisturizer or a cleansing milk.

Natural Skin Care Tips

1. Keep vitamins such as C and E in your diet regimen.

2. Apply the mixture of honey and milk on the face . This will make your skin glow.

3. Cauliflower juice applied on warts regularly will make them fall.

4. Mix half teaspoon dried curry leaf powder with multani mitti (fullers earth) and apply on the face. Wash it after it gets dry.

5. Apply the mixture of tomato juice and honey on the face and neck , wash it after 15 minutes.

6. Apply the mixture of carrot juice and basin. Leave it till it dries and wash the face.

7. Add two teaspoon of tomato juice with 4 teaspoon of curd and apply on the face.

8. Add a pinch of yeast with 2 teaspoon of cabbage juice and apply.

9. Mix 1 table spoon of barley powder with half teaspoon of lime juice and 1 teaspoon of honey. Apply it on the face and wash after 20 minutes.

10. Mix pineapple juice and carrot juice together and apply it on the face and wash it after 15 minutes.

11. Mix vinegar and rose water in equal quantities and apply.

12. Mix curd and cucumber juice and apply it on the face.

13. Apply the mixture of coconut water and thick pineapple juice.

14. Make a paste with 1/2 teaspoon of milk powder, 1/4 teaspoon of egg white and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice and apply on the face.

15. Apply the mixture of raw turmeric and cream of milk on the face and wash it after 20 minutes. It will make your skin fair.

16. Apply the mixture of honey, basin, cream of milk and olive oil as a face pack.

18. Apply the paste of fenugreek with milk on the face and let it dry.
